Who would your target audiance be for your magazine.

My audience would not be target at a niche audience my magazine though primarily developed for rock music would cater to all generals allowing any type of music lover to enjoy my magazine and therefor would appeal to a larger audience and have more potential to generate a larger profit, the sort of person who would look at my magazine and understand the hidden references like the title of the magazine that is in Latin is my main demographic, this sort of person would be interested in learning about the new upcoming bands due to having an inquisitive mind this person due to the use of the colour scheme I have implemented will be stereotypically male from a teenager to adult. However this does not mean anomalies will not occur. The beautify of magazine is the fact it has so much potential to attract a large audience, being distributed weekly it will not be too much for people who don’t want to read a lot however it will not be too little content for people who like monthly magazines to think it’s not a good value for money, because it won’t cost too much due to low production costs for using Indie bands, the low price I think will also lead to my target audience who is middle aged and therefor will not want to waste money on things that are overpriced. Though the style is male the Bands interviewed will be mixed gender I think this will lead to a good amount of consumers of both male and females. My target audience being middle age would like to make habits in order to make the best use of their time they would probably but my magazine religiously due to the varied content and there potential being something very interesting in it like a new band they might like and want to try and support.

Skype call was used to obtain this feedback however I wasn’t sure how I could post the audio file so here is a transcript of the feedback obtained.

Me: What do you think about the front cover I know it still needs a picture but what do you think about the text and the fonts?

Phil: well you obviously need the images however the use of the text is quite good I like the hidden meaning of the title its really quite cleaver. I like the font style because it is mysterious much like the magazine, I like the colour scheme, the use of corresponding colours gives the magazine a good style.

Me: What do you think about the contents page so far, bearing in mind the fact that also still needs a picture?

Phil: colour scheme doesn’t change this is good allowing the viewer to form a kind of relationship with the magazine; the pages seem interesting part about how the page is it only uses one page out of two, do you intend to use the other page?

Me:  Yes I do but that’s in progress right now how about the double page spread?

Phil: Well first of all once again I like the use of new media in the article I think the colour scheme should be universalized to this page as well however other than that and the fact you need to add a picture here two it’s all quite good!

7) On the preliminary task there were several key flaws that in my recent work I have fixed, the layout of my magazine was flawed the first flaw with the preliminary task was that it didn’t have a good colour scheme with similar colours the consumer will have found it hard to adjust to the        un-natural colours that are not very life like but at the same point it wasn’t significantly un-natural colours to the point that it would attract the eye of the consumer. The icon that I used was not good due to the fact that it was all the same colour. In the design that I have now has a good colour scheme as it attracts the eyes of the viewer with an interesting design, the layout is good due to the fact that it attracts the attention of the consumer with its bold black lines however the text unlike the practice task does not blend in with the design but stands out instead. In the read task on each page I added a florescent sound wave in to the background that I made using creative processes in order to achieve an interesting background.
